GS Portalac BATTERY Specification - Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

Completely read the owner's manual and fully understand the charging process of your batteries before operating your scooter. Improperly charging or storing your batteries will substantially shorten the battery's life.

5V, 8V, 9V, 10V and 12V Sealed Lead Acid Battery Care
Before checking the terminal voltage (DC) of each individual battery, battery should have been inoperative for at least 3 hours or more. Please allow the battery after recharge to seat at least for 3 hours or more before checking the terminal voltage. Batteries that are being charged will read higher; therefore, the readings will not be accurate. It is strongly recommended to have the batteries stay in between 40-100% charge levels. Continual discharges below 40% will substantially shorten battery life. The terminal voltage measurement is only approximate and should not be used solely to justify the battery condition. By simply charging the battery after each use (even use for several minutes) or charging the battery once a month when not in use, you will lengthen the life of the battery. However, don't let the charger stay plugged in for more than 8 hours as it will damage the batteries except for the initial charge out of the box (maximum 24 hours).
